Privacy Policy
Last updated 21 October 2026
In short: the app has no tracking or analytics. If you use ProceduralFX credits, we keep your email address, your balance and a record of how much each AI request used. We don't keep your prompts or scenes; they pass through our server to the AI provider and aren't stored. We never sell your data.
This policy explains how Lok Sang Ho (ABN 60 992 166 924) ("we", "us") handles personal information for the ProceduralFX Studio app and the ProceduralFX credits service. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
1. The app on your computer
- No tracking. The app doesn't collect analytics, usage statistics or crash reports.
- Update checks. When it starts, the app asks GitHub whether a newer version exists. GitHub sees your IP address, as with any website visit.
- Your settings and keys. If you enter an API key for Anthropic or another AI service, it's saved only on your computer, in a file readable only by your user account.
- Using your own key or a local model. The app sends your request directly from your computer to the service you chose, under that service's own privacy policy. We don't receive any of it.
2. ProceduralFX credits
If you sign in to use ProceduralFX credits, we collect:
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Your email address | To sign you in, identify your account and contact you about it |
| Your plan, credit balance and Stripe customer ID | To run your plan and top-ups |
| A record of each AI request: the time, the model, how many tokens it used, what it cost us and what it cost you | To charge the right amount, show you your usage, and for our accounts |
| Sign-in tokens and codes (stored only in scrambled, hashed form) | To keep you signed in. Codes expire after 15 minutes. |
| Your IP address, briefly | To limit repeated sign-in attempts, and in our hosting provider's logs |
Your prompts and scenes. To answer a request, the app sends your prompt, a description of your scene, the results of the assistant's checks and, sometimes, an image of the viewport. Our server passes these to Anthropic to generate the answer. We don't store them or read them. Anthropic processes them under its commercial terms and privacy policy.
Payments. Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe, never to us. We receive the payment's amount and status.
3. Who else handles your information
We use these providers to run the service. Some are outside Australia, mainly in the United States, so your information may be stored or processed there.
| Provider | What for |
|---|---|
| Anthropic | The AI model that answers requests |
| Stripe | Payments, subscriptions and receipts |
| Resend | Sending sign-in emails |
| Render | Hosting our server |
| Neon | Our database |
| Cloudflare | Our domain and this website |
| GitHub | App downloads and update checks |
We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
4. How long we keep it
- Account details: for as long as you have an account.
- Usage and payment records: for 5 years, as Australian tax law requires.
- Sign-in codes: 15 minutes.
5. Your choices and rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to close your account and delete it. Records we have to keep for tax purposes are kept until that period ends. Email support@build3dstudio.com from the email address on your account, and we'll reply within 30 days.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, contact us first. You can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
6. Security
Connections to our server are encrypted, sign-in tokens are stored only as hashes, and access to our systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we'll tell you and the OAIC as the law requires.
7. Children
ProceduralFX credits are for people 18 or older, or younger people with a parent's or guardian's permission.
8. Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For important changes, we'll tell signed-in users by email before they take effect.
